FMP DEVELOPMENT LOG 8 - GIG DAY

Today I woke up early and curled my hair and did my make up. I also put a bag together with make up, curlers Novacane merchandise to bring into the dressing rooms at the o2. I will be performing twice tonight, my first performance with my solo band and then later on with Novacane. I am feeling quite nervous as my solo band have the pressure of opening the event tonight but we have rehearsed to an incredibly high standard and I am sure everything will be fine.

After coming to college, I had a band rehearsal with Novacane for an hour and a half. We went through our set in the pod twice and then rehearsed on stage. I am really looking forward to showcasing our hard work later on this evening.

After the Novacane rehearsal, I had a rehearsal on stage with my solo band. I felt really awkward on the college stage as there isn't much room to move around, so I am hoping that the o2 will be different later on during soundcheck.

After both band rehearsals, I made my way into town to go and collect some CD covers for our EPs which we will be selling this evening. I have used all my own money to create novacane badge and EP packs which we will be selling for £5 each. Hopefully we will sell all 10.

I then met everyone at the o2, did lots of girls make up and curled their hair and then did soundcheck for both my solo band and Novacane. I'm really excited for this evening.

Both my solo set and Novacane set went absolutely amazing. I am hoping that I have done enough in both projects to achieve the distinction grade which I have been aiming for, for the past two years. We also sold all of our EP badge packs and made £50. Although I sorted out all the merchandise myself, I split the money between everyone in Novacane because I feel we have all worked incredibly hard this year and persevered through many challenges.
