FMP DEVELOPMENT LOG 7

TUESDAY:

Despite our efforts and research, we decided that we weren't going to have a disco ball or bubble machine for the o2 as they were too expensive to hire and we would have to create a risk assessment for the o2 which was more work for the band when we had coursework to complete and solo and other band rehearsals to complete. Today we rehearsed our entire set including instrumental interludes and our introduction song. We are going to rehearse on stage tomorrow during our afternoon rehearsal. We also discussed our outfit plans for the o2 and we will be matching our logo, the rubix cube. As Ellie is our lead singer, she is going to be wearing all white, I am going to be wearing red, jack is wearing green, Leila is wearing yellow and Ross is wearing blue.

WEDNESDAY:

Today in our final production lesson we finished mixing and mastering all four songs for our EP. We are now ready to release our EP on Friday. We decided to split our afternoon rehearsal into two sections, one half for Ellie and myself's solo projects and the other for Novacane. We rehearsed on stage and I now feel quite confident for our gig with Novacane.

THURSDAY:

Today we rehearsed outside of college as both a rehearsal and as a promotional performance. Here is the video of this:

FRIDAY:

Today we did some more stage rehearsals, one with my solo band and one with Novacane.

On Saturday, we came to college and rehearsed our set with Novacane. Our set is now just over 30 minutes long with our introduction song, piano interlude and longer introduction to illusions and conscience. We rehearsed stage presence and swap overs and covered everything that was stressing us out. I now feel extremely confident for the o2.
