During our rehearsals on Tuesday we started to write a third original song, which we have decided is going to be in a 60’s style, very similar to the works of Etta James. In this rehearsal, we wrote the guitar, bass and drums for the first and second verse. We also looked at several ideas of what to play on piano, I am yet to decide what I am going to play. Here is a video of some of the piano ideas we have for our third original:
On Wednesday morning in our production lesson we recorded the guitar for “Conscience Alley”. Now all that we have left to record is vocals and keys and then we can start mixing and mastering the track. Here is a short clip of what we recorded in our production lesson:
During the afternoon of our Wednesday rehearsal, an audio student from SAE Institute came into our pod to listen to some of our original music. We played him our first two songs and our third song idea. He has decided that he wants us to go to SAE and record some of our music there for free as part of his coursework, so we should be doing this within the next week or two.
On our Friday rehearsal, Ellie and myself wrote a chorus to our third original idea which we have decided is now going to be called “Judas”. Here is a clip of what we have so far:
