Tuesday:
Today, we rehearsed our three original songs "Conscience Alley", "Lesson Learnt", and "Deeper Shade". So far, our timing for our set is just over 12 minutes long out of the fifteen minute duration needed.
Here is a clip of us rehearsing:
We are planning to add an extra song which is a cover of "Disco Yes" by Tom Misch. Here is a clip of this:
This will make our setlist about seventeen minutes long. Tomorrow, in our rehearsal, we are going to focus on stage movement, and discuss our style for our Christmas gig next week.
Wednesday:
Today we rehearsed all four of our songs for the gig, and we have created a plan for our style and movement. We are going to all dress in one bright colour and incorporate this into our outfits. I am going to incorporate red into most of my outfit, Jack is going to wer blue, Leila is going to wear pink, Will is going to wear green and Ellie is going to wear yellow. This fits in with our pop-funk genre, in which our vibrant music style matches our personal style.
Thursday:
Today wasn't as productive as our usual sessions, as everyone was quite stressed out about our coursework and UCAS deadline which are both due on Friday. However, we have our stage plan, tech specification, we have planned our movement and style, advertised our gig well, and have rehearsed to a point now where we could do the gig tomorrow if we wanted to. The plan for tomorrow is to keep running through our set list and perhaps rehearse on stage again so that we are fully prepared for our gig next week.
Friday:
Today we finished our recording and production of conscience alley in the studio. I did a few takes on my vocals which I am quite satisfied with.
