Garden Performances - (In preparation for our street performing) 9/10/2018

Tomorrow, we are street performing in town, so we did a preparation performance in the garden for this. The only song that we currently feel confident enough to perform to a public audience is “conscience alley” so we tried to make this as acoustic as possible, with Will playing an acoustic guitar instead of an electric, jack playing a cajon instead of a full drum kit, and me playing a battery powered keyboard instead of a piano.

We rehearsed this once in pods and then went outside to play it to the class. I am not happy with how our performance of this went, so I am not looking forward to street performing tomorrow. I feel we weren’t showing our full potential as a full drum kit is vital for “conscience alley” as well as electric guitar. I felt a bit stupid playing the song acoustically as it sounded really empty and boring. I think tomorrow, we are going to get Will to play electric guitar instead.
